What are diagnostic records?
Diagnostic records typically consist of two specialized orthodontic x-rays (a panalipse or most commonly know as a "pano" and a cephalometic or "ceph" ), study models of your teeth and facial and dental photographs. The records will help Dr. Lilley to diagnosis your dental and skeletal malocclusion and provide the treatment plan for the correction of your teeth, lips and jaws so that they will fit into proper alignment and achieve facial balance.
The treatment is usually achieved by utilizing corrective appliances such as braces and/or other fixed or removable appliances. The ideal age may vary from person to person, however, the average age to start treatment is about 11-13 years old. Adult treatment is also very common and becoming an ever growing part of the practice.
